Startup pulsd is a New York City-based experiential marketing platform that introduces restaurant, event, spa, and fitness partners to new business.
As the Editorial Director, I wear multiple hats. For our paid promotions (3-4 daily), I collaborate with the sales team to create and manage content for our website, apps, social media and newsletter. The extensive research I conduct—including press information, curating photos, and conducting interviews—ensures our promotions are legitimate and reputable.
Another aspect of my job is posting 10-15 free editorials daily, requiring research tactics and frequent interaction with PR firms and marketing agencies, in addition to having a strong grasp on the needs of a predominantly female demographic, ages 21-35.
Another aspect of my job is continuous improvement and optimization of paid promotions as they are in place to ensure our partner businesses receive the impact they desire from the advertising dollars they spend with pulsd. The recent addition of an editorial assistant has freed some of my bandwidth to spend even more time on content quality and efficacy, including the takeover of all newsletter output, involving thorough A/B testing and consumer analysis.
Achievements include:
★ Expanding consumer engagement from 50,000 daily newsletter opens to 80,000.
★ Increasing time spent on promotion pages 23%.
★ Increasing revenue 30% in just one year.
★ Helping to secure, and retain, Tommy Hilfiger as a client.

Locale Magazine is a Southern California-based lifestyle magazine distributed digitally and in print. I began as the Senior Editor for the LA publications and subsequently acquired three more markets.
The span of my work with the magazine included all content for print, website, and social media, building out all editorial and branded content, advertorials, photo shoots, and editorial strategy.
In addition to collaborating with our marketing, sales, and events departments, I also managed advertising relationships and led a team of 75 writers and six staff members.
Achievements include:
